Social Tariff is a state-backed support to economically vulnerable consumers and is applied automatically by electricity and/or natural gas supplier.

The process of verifying eligibility for the Social Tariff is done by DGEG – Directorate General of Energy and Geology.
If it has not been automatically assigned, the client should request proof of his/her status as a beneficiary from the relevant Social Security institutions and/or Tax and Customs Authority and deliver it to his/her distributor.
