Drying machine

Dryers work normally in the fall / winter and consume a lot of energy. Its use requires the contracting of a higher electric power and as such, in addition to regular energy consumption, it is necessary to take into account the increase in costs in the energy bill through the fixed term (amount paid in € / day).

HOW TO REDUCE YOUR CONSUMPTION ASSOCIATED WITH THE DRYING MACHINE?

The tumble dryers can be divided into two groups, the tumble dryer and the condenser tumble dryer.

Exhaust equipment removes moisture from drying clothes through a tube that must be connected to the outside of the home, so they must be located near the windows and have a lower purchase cost. Aesthetically, they are also not an appealing solution, as they have piping coming directly from the equipment to make the direct connection to the outside, which may cause some thermal discomfort.

Condensation equipment represents a higher investment, however it does not have a connection to the outside, it has a reservoir that must be discharged or it can be connected directly to the housing duct to drain the product resulting from the condensation. In addition, they are also more energy efficient.

Other tips
  1. Use the correct program for each type of laundry and remove the laundry from the machine right after the program ends. This measure eliminates the need to iron some parts.
  2. During washing, the higher the speed used, the smaller the amount of water contained in the laundry at the end of the wash and, thus, the time needed for drying in the tumble dryer will decrease.
  3. Clean the cotton filter on your tumble dryer regularly, and avoid overloading it. By adopting these measures, he managed to save up to five percent in the electricity consumption of this equipment.
Energy Label

Drying machines (Delegated Regulation (EU) No. 392/2012) have three different labels on the market depending on the type of dryer: by exhaustion, condensation or gas.

The energy efficiency class is calculated based on 160 drying cycles in the normal cotton program, at full load and partial load, and the consumption of the equipment in the deactivated and inactive states.

According to the Eco Design regulation of this product, new dryers with an energy efficiency class below C are not allowed on the market.

How to read the energy label:

  1. Supplier name or trademark and Supplier model
  2. Energy efficiency class
  3. Weighted annual energy consumption in kWh
  4. Condensing dryer
  5. Cotton cycle duration, total load, in minutes
  6. Normal cotton program capacity full load (kg)
  7. Noise emission in dB
  8. The condensation efficiency class
  1. Supplier name or trademark and Supplier model
  2. Energy efficiency class
  3. Weighted annual energy consumption in kWh
  4. Condensing dryer
  5. Cotton cycle duration, total load, in minutes
  6. Normal cotton program capacity full load (kg)
  7. Noise emission in dB
